The Chair of Machine Tools and Controls deals with the establishment of new fields of application for machining with industrial robots. These include research into the dynamic stiffness of industrial robots and possibilities for the adaptronic control of robotic machining systems. In addition, the Chair is concerned with machine dynamics in micromachining and the digital acquisition and processing of operating data from machine tools.
